Rebuilding Broken Walls

Text: Nehemiah 1:1-4

God has always been in the business of rebuilding what's been broken.

  •  BC - Moses
  •  BC - King David
  •  BC - Israel divides
  •  BC - North Israel taken into Assyrian captivity.
  •  BC - Judah taken into Babylonian captivity.
  •  BC - Persia allowed the Jews to return to Jerusalem.

God doesn't just want us ""; He wants us . (Eph. 6:10-11)

Our  is where we relate to God, the place from which we worship and fellowship with God, just like the

Our  is our mind, will and emotions. It is how we think, choose and feel. It is like the  of Jerusalem.

When we become a follower of Jesus, surrendering the leadership of our lives to Jesus, our  is immediately renewed, and we are in full relationship with God.

But God doesn't want to stop there. He wants to rebuild our walls - strengthen our  - so we can stand against the inevitable attacks of the enemy.

We must invest time and energy,  in the Lord, letting the Father rebuild our broken souls like Nehemiah so that when the day of evil comes - and it will come - we will not merely survive but will stand.
