Put on The Full Armor

Series: A Better Life

David McQueenAugust 16, 2026Weekend Services

Passage: Ephesians 6:10-20

Do you feel like you're constantly struggling to handle the weight of tomorrow? In this powerful message, David McQueen delivers a surprising truth: none of us actually have what we need to face the possibilities of the future on our own—and that is actually great news. Drawing from the biblical story of manna in the desert and the full armor of God in Ephesians 6, David explains that our modern epidemic of anxiety often stems from a "self-reliance" that was never part of our original design. We weren't created to be independent, but rather to live in a state of daily dependence on God’s provision. Join us as we discover how to stop being overwhelmed by the "what-ifs" of life and instead find strength for today and unshakeable confidence for tomorrow by learning to gather our "daily bread" and put on our spiritual armor every single morning.

Text:  Ephesians 6:10-20

What if - is actually the thing that is robbing life from us?

We can be in the Lord but not be  in the Lord.

We can be weak in the Lord.  And when we are weak in the Lord, we don’t carry hope –  – about tomorrow.

Daily  on Jesus provides strength for today and confidence for tomorrow.

Take up and  the armor of God is the same idea as give me today my daily bread. (Matthew 6:11)

It is the same as the children of Israel gathering just enough  for today and trusting God will provide for tomorrow. (Exodus 16; 1 Corinthians 10:1-6)

Daily I choose that  is found in Jesus and what He says.

Daily I choose to  righteously.

Daily I choose to have my mind renewed by the reality of my .

Daily I choose to bring the  to people.

Daily I choose  that God will more than take care of tomorrow.

Daily I’m in the  and  – the two edges of the sword with which I fight
